FIoT - Food Manufacturing Automation Solutions

Despite a growing number of food manufacturers in Thailand, which range from community enterprises to larger manufacturing companies. The food industry still lacks IOT makers or those with capabilities and specialized in electronics and software. As a result, companies are incapable of conducting diagnostics or troubleshoot problems that occur during production.  This includes the inability to reduce the quality control documentation in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. 

FIoT helps resolve problems in various control processes that affect production systems within the food industry. Sensor technology in the FIoT system provides real-time, 24-hour a day online monitoring and reports that enable efficient operation, which in turn, reducing costs, defects, and labour demand in warehouse management. The research team has studied the automated measurement of parameter and production status sensors called the Automated Monitoring System. Nine processes that could potentially affect the production line in the food industry are; 1.

Temperature control process; 2. Pressure control process; 3. Dehydration process; 4. Moisture control process; 5. Ingredient mix control process; 6. disinfection process; 7. Quality control process; 8. Stocktaking process and; 9. Cycle Time measurement.  The measurements should be tailored made to the operator's requirements and needs. Nonetheless, awareness of production issues would lead to an efficient operation and reduction of production waste.
